Raji Kaur Aujla is the founder and president of Willendorf Cultural Planning and editor-in-chief of Newest Magazine, sister companies that focus on better representation and inclusion of IBPoC voices in Canadian arts and culture. She has been a cultural builder, curator, creative director, and advocate in the Canadian arts sector for the past 15 years. Prior to this, she worked in journalism, spending tireless hours to research and develop stories focused on racial, gender, and caste injustices.
Raji studied Visual Culture at the University of Toronto and is currently a senior fellow at Massey College and a Master of Arts candidate at Queen’s University. She sits on the boards of Canada’s National Ballet School, Canadian Art Foundation, and Baaz News Org and was been selected as Independent Curator for the City of Toronto’s Year of Public Art 2021 and Freelancer for the Globe and Mail. She has bylines in the CBC, Chatelaine, Globe and Mail, Huffington Post, Baaz News.
